[VFB] Chain Pickerel

Does anyone here have the skinny on Chain Pickerel.  Flies, tackle, techniques?

I will be fishing for them here in East Texas the first weekend in February 
and have never done it before.  The fish here run from about 10" or so up 
to 24" or so.

All I know about them is what limited info I have been able to gleen from 
the web.
