I remember very well when I furled my leaders there. Last year I had a furled leader with me, which made Mart for me. I fished during the whole stay at the White with the leader. CPs and some few dries (But don't tell Tony this, I had only his ok for the CPs <G>)
Interesting to hear, that you have the same sinking problem. BTW: has anybody experience with furled leaders made from mono?

Yep. I used to make all my furled leaders from mono (see www.globalflyfisher.com, www.fishingdenmark.dk at the time) but have since changed to 8/0 unithread for all light line leaders. Still use heavy mono furled leaders for saltwater and pike leaders. Main advantage of mono furled leaders is their shock absorption. Main drawback is their shock absorption... Shock absorption is based in part on the unwinding of the furl under stress. When the stress is relieved suddenly (losing a fish, release from a snag) the leader tends to rewind onto itself...
