Don,
They are a potential customer only because they havent bought anything from me as yet. I was recommended to them by another retail customer here in Ireland. Small world eh!?
As for the quality, I am most definatly not a marlin/tandem tyer but I do tie very good quality, tidy and consistant flies for my customers. Never had a complaint yet thank god.
Thanks for your time Don, much appreciate the seasoned/informed answer.
Ronan.

Ronan,That's like asking what's the price of cars, or houses, or fly rods, over here. You can pay $8/dozen for cheap flies on cheap hooks, $2 each for nice standard flies on good hooks, $3 each and up for difficult-to-tie flies, or $50 each for custom marlin flies on tandem 10/0 6/0 heavy-duty hooks.Boils down to - "you get what you pay for". If his market will bear the price for better quality, then all comparisons are off. Why is your contact a potential client? Is he not satisfied with the product he's getting?Just asking the business questions. Been at this a long time.DonO----- Original Message -----From: Ronan MacLoughlinSent: Monday, July 26, 2004 6:31 AMSubject: [VFB] US trout fly prices.Folks,
Whats the price of Trout flies in the US??
I have a potential client interested in buying flies for a shop on the east coast (Maine) and dont want to go over the top on pricing. They gotta make a few bob also!
Many thanks.
