I believe that if you add some melted bee's wax to a melted toilet bowl wax
ring you will get a supurb product. You stated that the bowl wax ring was
just quite not good enough. This should solve that problem.

I too never use wax to tie my flies. But if I were so inclined I would make
my own from the recipe above. It was taught to me by my flytying mentor that
is now in the eternal stream fishing for lunkers on every cast.
