first try WD40 if that dont free it - strip what you can from the vice then 
put the head of the vice into a container filled with diesel fuel oil and 
leave it for a couple of weeks.  when screw comes free boil all components 
in a soda solution to remove all traces and smell of deisel. Dont try this 
with plastic components....#

Hi,
after pulling my vice out from storage (where it has been in and out and 
unused for 6 months ) I found that the one of the Knurl knobs is rusted, and 
I cant move it... that will teach me to stpo tying for 6 months :-)

Does anyone have any advice for me on freeing this up ?
I have had the vice for ten years or more, and this is the first time it has 
rusted up.  I think it is just a small amount of rust in the thread.

If i cant move it, I will only be able to tie flies in the #12 - 16 
range.......
