YEEEEEE HAAAAAAA !!! I may get to wade again. I found out from another vet about a different kind of KAFO brace for my left leg. Rather than the 16+#'s of steel and hardware I ware on the outside right now, I could get a lighter model and it will be under the pants leg. It is make from a casting of my entire leg and is a glove fit under my pants. I can ware any type or kind of shoe with it, which means I can ware waders again. Still will have a bit of the stability problem to contend with, but I can work around that.
I have an appointment in ABQ for an evaluation to see if this type of brace will work for me. If so they will start the ball rolling on it. If all goes well and this type of brace is for me, I might get to wade fish with everyone at the Sow Bug !!!!!!!! YEEEEE HAAAAAA !!!!! Jimi
