Jimi,

Some of us will prefer morning fishing and afternoon tying. Others prefer it vice - versa.. Then there's some that will not be fishing, period. I didn't fish last year and probably won't this time. With my arthritic ankle, I never know. Going fishing together as a group will be tough logistic wise and it would also be tough for some 20 of us to fish side by side and also on the place we'd be fishing. I for one, don't like to fish in a crowd. Tying together as a group would be very tough logistic wise too. It would be selfish to ask that all us VFB'ers sit side-by-side to tie. What we have to do is honor our commitment to Tony and Dean and tie at the times we're assigned. I usually spend the first morning checking things out and tie in that afternoon, then tie whenever Dean needs me to tie from then on, but he knows that I'll tie whenever he needs me to. Heck, I tied all day Saturday last time. Getting together as a group works much better in the evenings, during and after dinner. We also must include our wives in the get-to-gether. We certainly don't want to leave them out.

My 2 cents worth.

I am getting ready to send in my registration for the Sowbug. Was
wondering, if we want to get together as a group to do some fishing, do
most want to tie in the morning and fish afternoon, or fish the morning and
tie the afternoon?

I am more of a morning person for detail work, (IE Tying). Just wondered,
would like to try to coordinate things so we can spend the most time
together tying and fishing. Then reserve the evenings for eating and having
fun.

Tony, Suggestions????

Working on some serious plans here.
