Chris, I just got a message this morning from a friend on the rodmakers list, he went fishing yesterday while at a picnic and did real well on a couple of Peppers I gave him. He caught a lot of Gills, Bass and a large Catfish Don, A guide in PA. tells me that the Chili Pepper with Barbell eyes is his "go to" fly for Smallmouth. I just watched a DVD with a Canadian tyer tying beginner flies. One was the Wooley Bugger. He said his favorite bugger was the Chili Pepper. It shocked me.
