Tony,

I was thinking about you last night.

I just hung up my Chili Pepper shadow box on the wall after using it for
my tying classes; as we tied them last week. The shadow box adds
instant credibility to the pattern - the students were really excited by
the creativity and the selection from tiers around the world.

Since I never made a shadow box before, I made an extra just in case I
screwed one of them up - that way you would have yours. Once I created
the best way to mount the flies that wasn't permanent, I was all set.
Your shadow box was the best of the two - naturally....

If I have some time over the summer, I will re-photograph the Chili
Peppers as I have a better imaging system.

Remember, I will forever keep a page for the Chili Pepper:

http://www.chappysguide.com/html/secret_chili_pepper_swap.HTM

I actually tied some up with a nice orange dyed grizzly variant neck.
Results were pretty cool.

Chappy.

Chris,
I just got a message this morning from a friend on
the rodmakers list, he went fishing yesterday while at
a picnic and did real well on a couple of Peppers I
gave him. He caught a lot of Gills, Bass and a large
Catfish
Don, A guide in PA. tells me that the Chili Pepper
with Barbell eyes is his "go to" fly for Smallmouth.
I just watched a DVD with a Canadian tyer tying
beginner flies. One was the Wooley Bugger. He said his
favorite bugger was the Chili Pepper. It shocked me.
LOL
