Hi, I've just installed a bttv based WinTV card under RH7.1 as /dev/video0. The radio works fine, however when I run xawtv I get a black screen. Using some software written here (v4l based) I can open the device an query it (everything seems fine including channel descriptions and image size), but when I read a frame (using read()) it is black again. I am working from the S-video input so I've selected channel 2 with set_videoSource(2). I don't seem to get any errors anywhere (the log file looks OK) just black images. It all works OK under win2000.
I have a dual PIII motherboard (non Intel??) and an ATI rage 128 pro graphics card. I've tried disabling the DRI as suggested in the xawtv readme but this has no effect. Any suggestions gratefully received.
