I'm looking for a way to stream video to windows/mac clients through a web
browser with a reasonable refresh speed (i.e. 1+ fps if possible)--but I'd
prefer that users don't have to download anything -- OR something that
requires RealPlayer, Quicktime Player or Windoze MP.

I've tried ffmpeg/ffserver, but could not get that to actually stream
anything to a windows client (and subsequent posts, emails seem to confirm
that I'm one of many). I've tried some of the tools from the mpeg4ip
project, but mpeg-4 is not standard enough yet to be supported in most
players.

Is there something else out there I should/could try? I'm happy to try a
bit of coding to get this to work, but I unfortunately don't have tons of
time. Seems like some webcam apps might work I suppose as well. I'm
running RedHat 7.2, using a bttv card, v4l, etc.

Thanks,

ben
