I programmed a digisuite LE a year ago, doing a roulette game for 
broadcast television. It was painful programming under vc++ & some 
directshow like api. Most of these systems would benefit tremendously of 
running under linux. The problem is most likely that matrox doesn't want 
to reveal anything about the low level details of these cards. They do 
have some wonderful pieces of mpeg2 / DVI encoders & decoders.

And believe me, doing an update at vsync is not a problem with these 
babies. ;)
