Hello list. I'm wondering if anyone can help me get either of my webcams (QuickCam VC or Creative Webcam II both parallel) to work with FreeBSD 4.7 or recommend a flavor of Linux either will work with.
My goal is to use gnome-meeting (gnomemeeting) to videochat with users of Microsoft Windows and NetMeeting. Second to my goal, I wish to understand how drivers get written for hardware, and if people accept payment to reverse engineer drivers.
