Thanks for the help.
I found that the above gave me corrupted video, but just using
'audiomux=0xff44e' (leaving the card at 13, ignoring the gbuffers) does
seem to have fixed the audio problem.  However, now S-Video no longer has
audio :(  Is there any documentation of what these options do, or what I
can try to get both S-Video and the normal tuner working?  Can I change
these options through the v4l interface?  I want to use the tuner for all
the 'normal' channels, and use S-Video for my digital-cable channels.

Unfortunately I am am not near the computer in question, so testing is a
matter of making a change, recording 5 secs to disk, and downloading that
to my current location over a slow uplink, so I haven't done very
thorough testing
