I'm using 2.2.13 and ran into the same problem. After grepping for those
symbols in the bttv distro, it seems that with a 2.2.x kernel you also need to
insmod the kcompat24.o module in the bttv-0.7.30/driver directory, before
insmod'ing the bttv module. That fixed it for me
