I currently have an NVIDIA based AGP card with video
in and out, which uses the Techwell TW98 chipset for
capture. Sadly capture isn't supported under Linux
otherwise this would suit most of my needs.
One thing I would be interested in is a stand alone
tuner, that produces and audio out and a video out,
that can then be fed into a sound card and video
capture card. That way I could watch TV with my
current card. Although to do this under Linux we would
need NVIDIA to finally release the information on how
the capture chipset interfaces with their bits.
Well if life was easy we wouldn't be interested then
would we.
