Not the first months, I don't think so. Not that I'm any expert, but I would think IMAGE is a vital part of why not. If the majority of Ipod video users are (sci-fi) geeks, or if most of the content is weird in one way or another, you get a stamp on your head for having such a device. Which is partly why they don't want the porn industry to embrace the ipod through ordinary channels, I guess. I think Apple is hoping for social acceptance of sitting in a public place watching a 2.5" screen. Today, it's kinda geeky, isn't it?

I think it's genious to promote ordinary TV-shows, that "everyone" likes. Then comes all the narrow stuff. Or what do I know...
