Good point Eric. I don't think there is a difference at least when it comes to thier terms of use. I can see how some people might not care about aggregators but I'd think most people would be concerned about giving away thier work. I was prompted to send this email this morning after getting yet another new vlog email from somebody using YouTube exclusively. This time it was from a guy who explained how he had just finished his feature length indepented film and was starting a vlog about it. He'd only posted a trailer but I sent him an email right away pointing out that section in the terms of use.

Would I be splitting hairs if I asked about what the difference is between targeting
vloggers and targeting people want to publish shit?

Hmm.
