You don't need to install a plug-in in order to be able to embed video into your wordpress blog! There are many ways to do it, and while vPIP is a good one, there are others that will work with wordpress.com
1) use the freevlog video embedding tool to write code for you. http://www.freevlog.org/popup/ There's a tutorial (of course) on how to use it (and why) at: http://www.freevlog.org/index.php/2006/04/18/freevlog-video-pop-up- maker/ 2) host your videos at blip.tv, and use their tools to create the code...
