Great points, Frank.
I have recently encouraged vloggers to use their own feeds or if a blip
user, to use blip feeds.
My point is that feedburner filled a void a few years back and that was
great but their is little reason to depend on them these days.
Frank is right about their feed quality. It's really not very tight and
focused on media creators in my opinion.
The reason why many people still use them is because they have subscribers
that are using feedburner urls instead of their own urls.
Their is an obvious issue of inconveniencing and possibly losing
subscribers. But i say if you want to do things right, you need to do that
sooner than later.

I've emphasized this a bit to the SIAB group.... since their is so much
focus on taking control of your content, your data, your "show".
Right now, their is little focus on feeds but that's an area of focus of
mine so we'll see.

As far as a new service to do feeds right for media creators... I don't
know. I've thought about it myself but good adoption rates are hard to
get. Mefeedia could garner the support needed to make it viable but I
wouldnt expect a flood of new users. Still to this day, people are not
concerned about having rich data feeds with proper media RSS. Wordpress
still doesnt support things out of the box. Blip has the best feeds that i
have seen.

My opinion is to use your own feeds (obviously might need some help getting
that right) and second choice is to use the blip.tv service.
Feedburner should be phased out this year.
