Hello! Yes, I have the XactiHD1000 and yes, Quicktime does not support
the largest shooting format of the camera. A frustrating oversight by
Xacti. But, luckily, there is a back door fix you can do by using the CD
the camera came with. Here's a link to a thread that gives step by step
instructions. Note: The instructions confused me a bit and Ryanne Hodson
actually got through them and made the change for me so I'm now able to
see the large format video I shoot. Ryanne is planning on making a
tutorial on freevlog about this very issue so it will be made very clear
