Like others have said, we will put the DVD into the standard-size
plastic DVD case for circulation, as it's sturdy and can withstand
multiple circs, as well as the simple fact that 99% of our DVDs are in
these size cases, so uniformity on the shelves is key.

My two cents - if it comes in a slimline case, we will toss/recycle the
slimline case; but if the DVD comes in a paper mailer, we'd just adapt
that case to fit into a plastic DVD case.

Subject: [Videolib] DVD Packaging

We are getting ready to distribute a new title and I am wondering how
important it is now to have the old fashion plastic singe case DVD. This
is the kind you use to see at Blockbuster on the shelf where the DVD
snaps into the case. Will libraries and schools accept slim line plastic
or paper mailers that are thinner and more ecological?
Thanks
