The Reel Thing, as you can see, is a symposium about film preservation technology. It's an event organized by the Association of Moving Image Archivists but is registration is open to non-members as well.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions.
