By the way, I hope the syntax of my comment didn't imply that I was venturing 
my opinion that GMV was better than TH&TH. They are great movies in different 
eras and stand on their own for completely different reasons. Besides, Bacall 
long ago had me at "Oh, maybe just whistle ..." 



I just meant that in the public sphere, given the timing, the nature of their 
deaths, and the "zeitgeist," the Williams' movies popularity is understandable.

related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
