Good Morning,
I am at an academic/public library. The library had faculty requests for
several rare VHS tapes to be available in DVD format. All good.
Yesterday, the person who did this related to me that they were also posted
on the intranet; the intranet takes you to a YouTube channel, which you
cannot subscribe to, but does let you share to Twitter, Facebook, etc. I
tried with my own accounts, and it was published. The person who did this
does not seem to think there is a problem, as some had educational rights.
I am looking for documentation about this, if someone could point me in the
right direction that would be great.
Thank you,
Debbie

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
