Maybe the icons needs better dependencies on the .png files, although to me it
looks like this is specified in the src/icons/Makefile.am
Thus for me it is a too small an issue to look into any further.
Unfortunately, even though I have much document work - I won't have the release
ready today/tomorrow - so it will be some time next week after the OSM State of
the Map Conference.
It is mainly delayed due to running into an investigating an infuriating bug in
Windows, where downloading a bzip file of one's OSM GPX trace it fails (albeit
gracefully).
Investigation shows it only downloads a 27KB file on Windows, when the file
should be 150KB (as done under Linux).
This is using either libcurl 7.14 or (my planned upgrade to) 7.31.
Downloading (small) map tiles is fine and downloading (large) DEM files is
otherwise fine.
So I don't understand why when the code is the same* on both Windows and Linux
the resultant behaviour is different. It is seemingly unlikely libcurl is at
fault...
*Now there is a slight difference due to the glib compatibility, but I've also
made some test Linux builds use the same glib functions and the Linux side
still works.
