Could it be because of the colorscheme? Try switching to a different
colorscheme and see if the problem persists.
The problem persists both with another colorscheme (tried peachpuf,
ps_color and without any) and with svn from an hour ago.
As a sidenote, I found that if you select "test colors" in gvim's
"Syntax" menu, your colors return to normal.
