"Reply to All" usually results in the author receiving duplicates. However since most mailers offer nothing but those two choices, it's probably the lesser of evils. Most mail clients suck. Decent mailers have "Reply to list" which avoids sending replies to both the mailing list and the author. Some mail clients suck less. ;-) -- JR
