Hi, folks. For some reason, gvim 7.0 running on Cygwin on my system cd's to the directory that contains the file I'm editing. Does anyone know what's causing that or how I can turn if off?

In more detail, what happens is this. I type something like:
   vi /some/other/dir/filename
at the command line, and then when I'm in gvim, if I type:
   :pwd
I get:
   /some/other/dir
I'd rather just stay in the directory where I started gvim.

Ben
