Full version info below; tl;dr == 7.3. I know this is old, but it's what's on
the server and I can't/don't have time to do anything about it.

I am editing source that has been badly converted dos<=>unix in the past, and
all the^M
lines^M
look like this^M

A common issue we're all familiar with. I can't right now clean it up, but need
to insert lines. So for consistency I 'yyp'ed the 'lines' line to get:
all the^M
lines^M
lines^M
lines^M
lines^M
look like this^M

and then went to change the new lines. To my surprise ctrl-v doesn't seem to
work properly after a motion. To wit: "ct" followed by ctrl-v M doesn't work.
The ruler shows the ct and then the command bails after the ctrl-v char is
typed. Also "f" followed by ctrl-v M does not work. "/" followed by ctrl-v M
does work properly.

Is this a known issue? Is it fixed in 7.4?
