There's confusion here, or at least I am. There are two "cursors": the mouse cursor and what I'll call the "text cursor" (note this is usually what konsole and vim mean by "cursor"; I have blinking cursor checked on the advanced tab of editing the profile). Do you mean "hold left mouse down and move mouse to the left"? I haven't been able to reproduce any problem, however I move anything. Aha, I just did it. I had to type a lot of text, and do lots of mouse dragging. The handling of the visual highlighting before that didn't inspire confidence, with the wrong parts of the text being highlighted.
