OK, this right here is very suspect...the code that loads the default font was removed before the release of MacVim 7.3. Do you by any chance have multiple versions of MacVim.app on your harddrive? I suggest you delete all MacVim.app (search with Spotlight to find them) from your hard drive, then re-download the latest version from: http://github.com/b4winckler/macvim/downloads and copy that to /Applications.
