I totally agree, but beeps are worse. What I do is to change the colour of the 'search hit BOTTOM' message to something that stands out. The following works very well in the Elflord colour scheme that I use (black background). " Change search wrap-around (and other warnings) to prominent colour. :hi WarningMsg ctermfg=15 ctermbg=12 guifg=White guibg=Red gui=NONE Now you have a prominent warning message, you need a way to easily turn it off.
