One that I tried before is FuzzyFinder: http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=1984 It does what you're asking for, and more. A good resource is http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Easier_buffer_switching Take a good look at the section titled Scripts, near the bottom.
