I think v7.2.x is the latest version for Ubuntu Lucid.  I had to compile
vim by hand to get v7.3 on Lucid.  Also, if multibyte is not supported,
I think you can either request it from the package maintainer or compile
it yourself (pretty straight-forward to do actually).
