I don't generally use them, I just don't like to restart Vim too
often when I have a lot of buffers and windows open...

Try editing the session file dropping lines until it works.
It's 820 lines, although a lot of them can be ignored, but
still a lot of lines to work with.. but I'll try that as
a last resort.
