I had an LC power supply which appeared to have failed. The problem
was that one of the pins on the power supply connector was slightly
raised and no longer making contact with the corresponding pin in the
motherboard power supply connector.
The power supply connector is a pin and housing combination. They
crimp the pins onto the wires and then insert the pins into the nylon
housing. Sometimes the pins come un-inserted. It is possible for the
pin to be up just enough to avoid contact while not being visually
obvious.
