LOL,

I am not sure how ambitious I really am... Currently I am simply
copying the entire contents of the computers drive to a unique folder
on the G5... The real work will be sorting through everything... I
want to make sure I don't lose any interesting system extensions,
applications or misc. data files. I have tried doing this before,
but I never really get too far... But to quote the little engine:
"I think I can, I think I can..."

I have several Fujitsu MO (magneto-optical) drives, one in a 950 the
others just sitting around. The advantage of MO technology is that
it has a projected data-life of something like 25+ years. I think
you would be lucky to get a few years out of a CDR unless it was a
high quality disc to begin with and was kept in a perfect environment
(dark). MO technology is pretty much immune to all environmental
effects (within reason). By the time the data is no longer viable
(and the drives are no longer functional), I suspect the computers
will also be dead.

After the drives, I am hoping to start cataloging all the disks I
have. So much to do and so little time.

Derek
