Thanks, this was just the kind of thing I was looking for and unable  
to find.  I may be in over my head here, it'll take me a while to  
digest it all.  I've never programmed a microcontroller before... not  
sure whether I'll tackle it, but if I do I'll let the list know how it  
goes!
