Pirating is pirating.
If you do not legally have a license to the above mentioned software then it
is pirating.
I have been reformed from my old pirating days.
I obtain legal licenses where possible, if not I purchase them from others
who are no longer using them or contact the copyright holder to release the
software into Free Ware where possible.
I collect software in particular for my Newton and many of the software
titles are long gone. Many of the original code is lost or their registration
generation code is gone which prevents anyone one from purchasing a
registration key. Backups are non-accessible due to the backup media having
no hardware to access it.

I have purchased licenses, been given licenses from others who no-longer use
them, I have collected some registration keys but do not use them personally
- they are archived for the purpose of using them for demonstration on my
Newton.
I would love to use one particular piece of software but they are selling a
license still, but I can't justify the cost so though I have acquired
software which I researched that could generate a registration key for
myself I don't use it because it's the principle of things. Others that are
still available I've actually purchased several various software titles and
use them currently...
One could justify it to themselves that it's no longer for sale and
available, but really that's in my book personally just wrong... but that's
just me and my values.
