I don't know if they still make it, but Sears used to sell a Craftsman 
T15 long-handled driver that was about $7 and worked a charm. Works 
great for me.

Failing that, the dremel-slotted T15 bit stuck on the end of a long 
flathead driver ought to work fine. Resorting to welding for this case 
is shooting a deer with a bazooka - sure, it works, but it's messy and a 
lot harder than it needs to be :)
