On the B2 side, you pull up the Appletalk control panel and set it to
Ethernet. Then, pull up the Chooser and make sure Appletalk is Active,
and pull up the File->Sharing option on the HD/folder you want to share,
and turn it on. That's it :)

All Appletalk over layer 2. There's typically no TCP/IP involved at that
level (it's possible, though a pain with older Macs to get Appleshare
over IP going.

Gatorbox is the famous "do everything" model. Otherwise, they're all
pretty much called that. Asante makes an AsanteTalk box, etc.

If you do get a later Mac, the Localtalk Bridge might be of use as well:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60290

It requires a 68020 or higher, though, so it won't be of much use with
the Plus/SE.

Yep, it's a 50 pin flat SCSI connector, and you should have no problem
dropping the external one into the internal. But, you might not want to.
Keep in mind that by changing the SCSI ID on one, you could hook both up
to one Mac. That might facilitate file transfer, as well as simplify
things should the SE ever meet an untimely demise. Also, any load kept
off these old power supplies is a good thing.

The SE should take one floppy and one HD without any problem. There were
also some brackets made, I'm told, that still allowed dual floppy and a
HD. There might even already be the brackets necessary in there; you'd
have to pop it open and look.

Wow! You'l have a full room in no time ;) I have 2 Pluses, 2 Classics,
and a "Macintosh" branded 128k myself, so I know how they multiply :) My
wife is none too pleased :)
