I personally have had very good experiences with both the old Lauri
Pesonen ports, and the more recent ones. I've tended to stay with the
older ones, mainly for the nicer, stabler GUI that doesn't require GTK+.
On any modern system, I've found the non-JIT version to run much faster
than anything I'd ever need out of it, so I've tended to stick with it.

I've have very little trouble in the way of reliability otherwise. I've
had it running for days doing various things, including playing some
CD-ROM based multimedia games (Return to Zork, for example) and burning
CDs without a problem. Ran a server on it for awhile for fun to try out
MacHTTP and some addons, which worked nicely for awhile. With some of
the SCSI flakery I've suffered from on my real Macs over the years, I'd
almost have to say I've less trouble with it than my real ones.
