Wow, I've bought another Mac Plus off Ebay... It was nice though, advertised as just a Plus, but someone had modified and put a fan, lock bar and 4MB of memory in it.
Anywho, I am not working on my process of connecting up my older Macs on system 6.0.8 to my Basilisk emulator on my PC. But I must not be understanding something or something is not connecting. This is what I have: Basilisk properly connected to my ethernet (iCab is running and browsing just fine) on my switch. My Plus is connected to an Asantetalk D9 to Ethernet converter. In Basilisk I have 7.5.3 r2 running and turned on file sharing and shared a folder. On the Plus I pull up Choser and AppleTalk is on, but nothing is in the window. I'm not seeing any lights blinking on the Asante when I pull up the Chooser so I'm guessing the Mac isn't bothering to talk to the network yet? I've swapped the D9 in the Printer and Modem ports, and swapped cables and swapped Asante units (have two from Ebay). The only thing I can think of is maybe the Basilisk in 'Router' mode is dropping layer2 traffic to the ethernet port and killing AppleTalk? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Vintage Macs group.
