Wanted to share a funny story that just happened to me, since I'm sure
it'll tickle some funny bones.

I finally got my Mac Classic back online, thanks to ipnetrouter and a
Powerbook Duo. I pulled out a nice clicky ADB keyboard I picked up
somewhere. Was chatting on IRC, and noticed I kept having "welcome
datacomp" stuck in the input that I couldn't figure out where it came
from. Strangest thing ever.

On a whim, I googled the phrase, and found something crazy. Apparently,
this particular model of keyboard has a practical joke buried in it
where it randomly types that. Strangest thing ever

I haven't been able to reliably reproduce it, but it happens often
enough to be mildly annoying. The keyboard is pretty close to pristine,
so it appears it was never used much. I can see why ;) Makes me wonder
how it ever got out of the door and past QA

Scott
