I have a IIsi that wouldn't power on. I replaced the power supply, and now it will turn on, but won't boot. Power comes on, hard drive spins up, monitor turns on, but there's no boot sound from the speaker and I can tell from the hard drive that it's not booting.
Can this be the PRAM battery? I replaced it about 5 years ago, so it's not the original. I check the voltage, and it's reading about 3.6 volts, but maybe it's not supplying enough power. Will the IIsi boot if the PRAM battery is dead? Anything else I can check? Thanks. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Vintage Macs group.
