That's about right for a server that size. The chassis and power supplies usually make up most of the weight. All the stuff on the outside is just to make them look pretty. Offerings from Sun, HP, or IBM would have been about the same. They just would have fit a little more horsepower in the same size box. At least multi processor support and higher supported ram. They probably would have cost twice as much though if not more.
