All,
I have a newly acquired Powerbook 165 in very nice c ondition. However, on power up, I get the "disk question mark". I have a boxed set of 7.1 disks, so I install the "Install me first" disk. I then get the "Smiley Mac", then the installer menu. which basically has me build a "Startup disk". Once the machine is booted, I have no indication of a hard-drive present in the system. I switched the harddrive with a newly acquired "brand new" 160Mb hard-drive and the situation is still the same. Do I have a Mother/Daughter board problem? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!!
