The only Mac I've encountered that won't boot with a bad Pram battery
is the 4400. Piece of junk... I think most Macs will run just fine
without the Pram battery, they just won't remember the date if you
unplug them. All of my vintage Macs have dead Pram batteries. Work
fine... I'm just too lazy to get new ones :)
