Ah yes, forgot about that. I think the second rev. had it but, by the time the released the first multi-colored ones, both the header and mezzanine slot were gone.
Unfortunately the iMac still requires OS 8.1 which means it cannot mount or read 400K disks in the Finder. It will use Disk Copy to reliably make an image, however. If you have a Mac running Tiger or Leopard (NOT Snow Leopard), you can install MFSLives which will access a 400K disk image as read only, allowing you to retrieve your files. Otherwise, you should be looking for an intermediary Mac that will natively run 7.5.3 and earlier (I think 7.5.5 broke some things too). Emulators which support floppy access, will not be able to access a Superdrive if the host system does not support it.
